ঢাকা সিটি কর্পোরেশন নিয়োগ বিজ্ঞপ্তি ২০২২, www.chakrirkbr.com । ১৯৯৩ সালে, সিটি কর্পোরেশনকে গণতান্ত্রিক করার লক্ষ্যে সরকার ১৯৮৩ সালের অধ্যাদেশে কঠোর সংশোধন করে এবং প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ভোটাধিকারের ভিত্তিতে প্রত্যক্ষ নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমে মেয়র ও কমিশনারগণ নির্বাচিত হবেন বলে পৌরসভার আবেদন বাতিল করে দেয়। প্রতিটি ওয়ার্ড গঠনের জন্য একজন নির্বাচিত কমিশনারকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করতে সিটি অঞ্চলটি ৯০ টি ওয়ার্ডে বিভক্ত। মেয়র ও কমিশনারগণ দ্বারা নির্বাচিত মহিলা কমিশনারদের জন্য একমাত্র ১৮ টি সংরক্ষিত আসন রয়েছে। কর্পোরেশনের নির্বাচন ১৯৯৪ সালের জানুয়ারিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং জনাব মোহাম্মদ হানিফ প্রথম নির্বাচিত মেয়র হন। ঢাকা সিটি কর্পোরেশন নিয়োগ বিজ্ঞপ্তি দেখুন।
