Gram Unnayan Karma Job Circular 2023 (GUK), GUK works as a social worker to create opportunities for disadvantaged people by providing multidimensional support services for their sustainable socio-economic growth and development. We are in a family of over half a million members who are working tirelessly for sustainable livelihood development by creating job opportunities for the lower income segment. GUK hopes that finance, education, health, food and nutrition, resilience empower communities to overcome poverty through building and emerge as a nodal agency for sustainable socio-economic development of Bangladesh. GUK supports an August mission to tackle the problem of poverty by enhancing the lives and livelihoods of the poor.

Through a variety of interventions in various socio-economic development activities aimed at establishing a gender balanced and dignified society. The goal of the micro-financing program is to provide access to finance for the poor by ensuring services to create IGAs that help increase people’s incomes, alleviate poverty as well as improve living standards. Since its inception, GUK has made strenuous efforts to make significant contributions to enterprise development, capacity building, and the creation of favorable conditions for social security through the efficient implementation of various financial products under various components of the micro-financing program. In compliance with the rules and regulations of the Micro-Credit Regulatory Authority (MRA), GUK has developed its Citizens’ Charter to clearly understand the transparent monetary policies.
It applicable to financial services aimed at the public. Led by two directors of micro-finance, GUK provides 203 branch offices, 38 area offices, 10 zonal offices, 4 regional offices and provides micro-financing services by employing 2,475 skilled manpower. GUK Eye Hospital has been established to provide low cost but high quality eye services to the public especially the members of various programs / projects of the organization and the beneficiaries in order to prevent unnecessary blindness in the society.
