Secondary and Higher Education Department Job Circular 2022, The Department of Secondary and Higher Education is functioning as the policy-making body of the government in all types of education except technical and madrasa education after the primary education level. This department takes policy making and other activities related to higher education from secondary level. In addition, laws and regulations are formulated for the administration and management of education. Institutions under this department oversee the management activities of all recognized schools, colleges and universities after the primary level. At present, there are 246 post-primary junior schools, 16409 secondary schools, 1405 schools and colleges, 3319 colleges and 47 public and 108 private universities.
