In 182, Warren Hastings, the company’s governor general, attempted to introduce the first modern district administration in the country. He divided the whole of Bangladesh into 19 districts this time the whole of Bangladesh was divided into 14 districts. Out of the 14, there was a district in Noakhali region called Bhulua.
