Rajshahi City Corporation Job Circular 2022, Rajshahi City Corporation RCC is a self-governing corporation which is involved in the management of the affairs of the city of Rajshahi. It is one of the major divisional city corporations of Bangladesh. The included area was divided into several wards. Each ward has an elected ward commissioner. Every five years, the mayor is elected by popular vote. The next election is scheduled for 2023. Rajshahi City Corporation is famous for its high concentration of small particles (PM10 and PM2.5) and its success in reducing air pollution. Rajshahi City Corporation was established on August 1, 1876 as Rajshahi Municipality (Rampur-Boalia Municipality). A 7-member town committee was formed at the government headquarters of Rajshahi College under the leadership of a former principal of Rajshahi College.

There was also a municipal board next to this committee. In 1884, the Committee was expanded to 21 under Rule 3 of the Bengal Municipal Act, 1884. In 1930, 8 municipal committees were formed. Council members are elected by popular vote for one year. Each committee had separate functions, such as public sanitation and health, public safety, welfare, education and water supply.
