Probasi Kalyan Bank job Circular 2022
The bank was established by the Bangladesh government in 2010 to provide financial services to expatriate Bangladeshis. The bank started its journey with a capital of Tk 1 billion, 95 percent of which came from the Expatriate Workers Welfare Fund and the remaining 5 percent came from the Bangladesh government. For the overall welfare of the immigrants, the government established the Expatriate Welfare Bank through the Expatriate Welfare Bank Act-2010.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Bank on April 20, 2011 during the 4th Colombo Process Conference in Dhaka. Prabasi Kalyan Bank is carrying out its activities through 64 branches in different districts of the country. The bank plans to open branches in all districts of the country within the next one year. Prabasi Kalyan Bank collects registration fee, smart card fee and Wage Earners Welfare Fee from about 2,000 expatriate employees every day from 64 branches including the main branch. Prabasi Kalyan Bank has launched online banking activities since January 2014.
