Office of the Controller General of Accounts Job Circular 2022, The Office of the Controller of Accounts (CGA) established in 1985 by an Office Memorandum (FD) of the Finance Division. Formerly known as the Office of the Accountant General – AG (Civil), Bangladesh, this office traces its origins. From 1947 when it was renamed as the Office of the Accountant General. The creation of the CGA office paved the way for the division of government accounts in Bangladesh. The Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh relieved of the responsibility of preparing accounts for the 2021 government which is responsible for keeping accounts depending on the individual ministry or department. The CGA is responsible for compiling and consolidating government accounts.
হিসাব মহানিয়ন্ত্রকের কার্যালয় নিয়োগ বিজ্ঞপ্তি ২০২২, www.chakrirkbr.com। 1985 সালে ফাইন্যান্স ডিভিশনের অফিস মেমোরেন্ডাম দ্বারা অফিস অফ দ্য কন্ট্রোলার অফ অ্যাকাউন্টস (সিজিএ) প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। পূর্বে হিসাবরক্ষক জেনারেল – এজি (সিভিল), বাংলাদেশ হিসাবে পরিচিত, এই অফিসটি এর উত্স খুঁজে পায়। ১৯৪৭ সাল থেকে যখন এটিকে হিসাবরক্ষক জেনারেল অফিস হিসাবে নামকরণ করা হয়। সিজিএ অফিস তৈরির ফলে বাংলাদেশে সরকারি হিসাব বিভাজনের পথ প্রশস্ত হয়। বাংলাদেশের কম্পট্রোলার অ্যান্ড অডিটর জেনারেলকে ২০১১ সরকারের জন্য হিসাব প্রস্তুত করার দায়িত্ব থেকে অব্যাহতি দেওয়া হয়েছে যা ব্যক্তিগত মন্ত্রণালয় বা বিভাগের উপর নির্ভর করে হিসাব রাখার জন্য দায়ী। সিজিএ সরকারী হিসাব সংকলন এবং একত্রিত করার জন্য দায়ী। সিজিএ অফিস ফিনান্স ডিভিশনের প্রশাসনিক নিয়ন্ত্রণের অধীনে স্বাধীনভাবে কাজ করে কিন্তু অ্যাকাউন্টিং নীতি ও পদ্ধতির বিষয়ে সিজিএ-এর কাছ থেকে সাধারণ নির্দেশনা চায়। এটি বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মাসিক হিসাব, অর্থ ও উপযোগী হিসাব প্রস্তুত করে।

The CGA office operates independently under the administrative control of the Finance Division but seeks general guidance from the CAG on accounting policies and procedures. It prepares monthly accounts, finances and utility accounts of the Government of Bangladesh; Supervises the Divisional Accounts Controller, District Accounts and Finance Officers and Upazila Accounts Officers, all civil servants and government agencies to pay their dues and prepare the preliminary accounts of the concerned offices.
Manages all of the above pay and account offices, including the offices of the ministry and the department’s CAFO; Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the account; Provides account data and information as required by the Finance Department; Ensures reconciliation of accounts between Government Pay and Accounts Office and Bangladesh Bank and Sonali Bank and Government Pay and Accounts Office and Executive Offices from these offices.
